SUMIRE, Japanese restaurant
The project consists of the renovation of a Japanese restaurant in Milan. The room, of modest size, has a ground floor and a small mezzanine, which were maintained as originally. To make the most of the natural light inside the room, it was chosen to replace the existing window, interrupted by the shutter, with a full-height glass window, improving its lighting. The internal distribution has been redesigned to ensure more seats without sacrificing the comfort of the customer and the worker. All furnishings (except chairs) have been custom-designed and made of black metal and American walnut wood. The choice to combine industrial materials with natural ones such as wood and “Ceppo di Grè” stone (used in wall coverings and floors) generates a modern and welcoming atmosphere in balance between contemporary Western and Eastern taste.
The lighting is minimal and elegant, it is composed of oriented spotlights and allows to decline the environment to different atmospheres.

APARTMENT in Milan
This 200sq m corner apartment is situated in the center of Milan in a typical 1950s building.
The project is a research for balance between contemporary space and some antique furniture elements very dear to clients.
This dialogue between old and new is evident in the living room area where the light colors of the walls, curtains and modern sofa contrast with the dark colors of the walnut furniture and the red velvet upholstery of the baroque chairs. The essential lines of the custom-made contemporary furnishings predominate in all the rooms of the house, but are broken by more decorated elements that generate a play of visual references and contribute to creating a unique and personal environment.
For the lighting, it was chosen to enhance the natural one coming from the large windows and to insert a few light points with a sober and minimal character.
In the entrance area, instead, we chose to dare by inserting a central element with copper reflections that decorates the space and hides a cupboard.

"2080 Cous Cous Rap", "2070 Funky Tabbouleh" and "2050 Bon Bon Jazz" are the three themes of the refined musical menu for Spring-Summer 2020.
The dates: 2080, 2070 and 2050 represent the projection in the future and a mention to the past of the 80s, 70s and 50s whose echoes are heard in the notes of Rap, Funky and Jazz.
Music is the starting point that dictates the creative and visionary line of the exhibition areas.
The speakers of the music boxes are reinterpreted as shells under which to gather in a stroboscopic atmosphere characteristic of the American Funk; while the underground style and the street become the perfect setting from which to draw references like the scaffolding and colored bins that make up the Rap installation.
The sweet notes of the Jazz are translated into a sky of light balloons floating on the viewer as soon as they come out of the saxophones and trumpets of African-American musicians.
Milan Unica Music Menu ventures cross-cutting fusions between food, music, past and future, recreating a unique layered history, icons, worlds, to offer precise aesthetic directions in terms of colors, fabrics, accessories, details, styles and fashion.

MILANO UNICA “ECOROTICA”, 29th edition
The XXIX edition of Milano Unica Autumn-Winter 2020-21 develops around the theme of Eroticism as a reflection on the drive, ever stronger in the contemporary culture, to show itself and please others.
Furthermore, this season has been to emphasize a theme carried out by Milano Unica for several seasons and definitively entered in the concepts of trends, in the realization of materials, both textiles and accessories: The Sustainability.
The fusion of these two concepts has led to ECOROTICA, characterized by futuristic, dark and lustful atmospheres but also ironic and surreal in which avatars, clones and humanoids express their perfect and sexy aesthetic.
Three stages have been created: one dramatic, one surreal and another supernatural called respectively Ecorotic Drama, Ecorotic Circus and Ecorotic Eden.
The first comes from the idea of life as a theatrical representation and translates into a luxurious but fictitious domestic environment consisting of quintets, furnishings and accessories made of cardboard on which fine fabrics and accessories are displayed.
Ecorotic Circus, a metaphor for an extreme life, is a provocative explosion of color and irony in which the striped textures of fabrics expand to become large festoons that invade and animate the space, along with large circus drums transformed into exhibition tables.
Paradise is the theme of the third exhibition area, but not the angelic one of the Botticellian iconography: in Ecorotic Eden the power and beauty of nature are revealed through tangles of roots and carnivorous flowers hanging from the ceiling in a suspended atmosphere made of lights, shadows, fog and sudden flares that accompany the visitor inside a forest of irregular logs.

MY CLINIC 54, PEDIATRIC CLINIC
The real estate unit is part of a typical late nineteenth century Milanese building overlooking an internal courtyard.
The original structure was recovered and improved from a sanitary and plant point of view, and it was worked inside creating an entrance space with reception, a series of medical studies, ancillary spaces divided into bathrooms and changing rooms and a large gym for rehabilitation activities. The rectangular layout of the building allowed a rational division of the different functions and a fluidity of the paths; In addition, the existing geometry has directed the design choices towards the enhancement of natural light through large windows at the entrance and a large skylight in the roof inside the gym.
It was chosen to use a natural material such as wood to transmit warmth and safety to the different environments and give an ironic and playful touch with a palette of pastel shades on the walls and details of the furnishing.
